Community License

We love the content that our community has created miniatures, fanart, rules and hacks, and we want people to continue to create these things as they see fit. This license allows anyone to make stuff for Moonless games and publish it for free or sell it, without having to come to us first.

CONTENT

  1. If you adhere to these terms you are allowed to publish free or commercial material based upon and/or declaring compatibility with Moonless games without express permission from Moonless, Scott Knees, or David Rueppell.

  2. The mechanics and game rules of Moonless games may be reused and referenced freely.

  3. Art and text from our books may not be reused or translated, unless you have our explicit permission. You can also use the names of creatures, locations and entities of the game world.

BRANDING

  1. Your product cannot use the (Planet Shark / Iron sleet / Moonless) logo unless you have our explicit permission.

  2. You’re not allowed to give the impression that this is an official Moonless product or that we endorse or sponsor you in any way unless we’ve made special arrangements with you.

  3. You are allowed and encouraged (but not required) to use the Moonless compatibility logos shared below.

  4. The following text must be included in the legal text, somewhere visible in the publication, and on the website or storefront where you promote the product:

    “[Product name] is an independent production by [Author or Publisher] and is not affiliated with Moonless. It is published under the Moonless Community License.”
